Good & Well is our way of combining passions: building things, unique fashion, and making a difference. We were inspired by so many meaningful brands for good like TOMS, Tentree, & Recover especially. We aspire to build a strong connection with our community by rallying around causes and values that we care about.
What is
Good & Well?
Good & Well is a hat brand that’s meant to serve as a reminder to do good in the world. It hopes to make statements that inspire others. It’s meant to act as a badge of honor and a symbol of what unites us, our shared values.
Good & Well is our way of creating communities that build us up and bring us together.
What do we believe?
We say what we believe and that drives us to act. We believe in trying to do the right thing to help others. We won’t always be right but we will always try. We believe something is better than nothing and now is better than never.
The Product
We’re calling the first product The Black Hat.
We’ve partnered with Topiku, a hat manufacturer that uses 100% recyclable materials and employs local artisans to make them by hand.
The Economics
We bought 60 hats for $14/each.
It costs $190 to ship the hats from Indonesia to Baltimore ($3.17/hat).
It will cost about $5 to ship the hats to customers… we think. TBD :)
We are going to charge $30 for each hat.
Good & Well will cover our costs to build a sustainable business model that can support this cause and others in the future.
We’ll donate $7.83 to the Public Justice Center for each hat that’s purchased.
Why the Public Justice Center?
Based in my hometown of Baltimore where we feel like given our makeup, we can build a model for social justice.

How it started.
Good and Well is Baltimore-based company that started after searching for a hat brand that meant something. Our search yielded few results, so we set out to build a hat brand that reflects what we believe.

We are not your typical fashion statement. Our mission is to build a meaningful hat brand. We aim to create hats that demonstrate what we believe is important.
